About The Ghost at Brooklands Museum

The Ghost at Brooklands Museum is a children's novel (reading age 9 years+) set at Brooklands - home to the world's first purpose-built motor racing circuit.

Brooklands has a fabulous history and my novel is inspired by the great racing events which once took place on the circuit, in particular the Brooklands 500 Miles Race, a UK sporting occasion once as famous as Wimbledon and Ascot.
Brooklands is also reputed to be a haunted location, with numerous reported ghost sightings over the years. Whether or not you believe in ghosts, as a fiction writer, its hard not to be intrigued by such stories, and these again have inspired my writing.

The Ghost at Brooklands Museum launched live on BBC Surrey on Halloween 2016 and since then, I've been lucky enough to be involved in numerous podcasts, interviews, events, as well as school and library visits. The novel even made it into a Top-10 Amazon bestseller list in 2016 and 2017. A huge thank you to everyone who has read the work and helped to shape its journey.

To those looking to read The Ghost at Brooklands Museum in the future, I really hope you enjoy it! I love hearing from people who have enjoyed the book. Feel free to contact me on the form below - or leave a review on Goodreads.

All the very best,

Mark
